Duties of Current Occupation
Cleaning barn, feeding, cleaning and filling buckets and tubs, medications, cleaning tack, grooming, riding, tacking up, turning out, bringing in, blanketing, mucking, sweeping, bathing, clipping, pulling manes, laundry and helping teach lessons.
Equine Work Experience
Started riding horses when I was 9 years old. I volunteer at Oakland School in Troy, Va. I have normal barn duties, as well as helping teach lessons, as well as riding in the lessons and on trails. I am an advanced rider, I can walk, trot, canter, do small cross and vertical jumps. I know how to ride both English and Western. I have been working with horses for 4 years. I am the crash dummy at work, I try all new horses out to make sure they are safe for kids to ride. I am able to get the most stubborn of horses to go. I have ridden horses from the size of medium welsh pony to thoroughbred. I am willing to ride any horse no matter what behavior issues. If I fall I always get back on, my last fall was summer of 2022 and before that I haven’t fell off since I was 15 years old. I am willing to learn how to ride younger horses.

Good at mucking, good at grooming, great organization skills, keeping a tidy yard, riding English and Western.
