Pine Ridge Dude Ranch, located in Ulster County NY, is a 150-acre resort dude ranch offering an authentic western riding experience for our guests. We are looking for an Assistant Barn Manager with a passion and extensive knowledge of horses in a western trail riding environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter that is capable of being a leader in the organization.
Over ten years of barn management, training horses and people
run boarding, training and breeding barn. Manage all facets. Teach, train, show nationally. Work young stock and show stock. Also, managed a feed store and have participated and am certified as a feed specialist for equines.
Owned horses and started lessons at age five. Progressed up through hunter/jumpers in local shows as a junior to national rated shows. Responsible for full care of family horses from birth to death as appropriate. Managed (and personally have done) all the work required to keep horses-feed plans, cleaning stalls, tack cleaning, horse grooming, pasture management, arena tractor work, did primary sick or lame horse care.
Working with children. Promoting and prompting clients to excel at their riding. Organization of most anything (barn, feed plans, lesson plans, horse schedules). Working and bringing along young stock or those like OTTBs that change disciplines. A lot success in turning less talented horses into winners.

Competed in local Houston, Texas area as a junior. Showed rated shows in hunters, then moved to jumper ring. Won USEF Zone Finals and Pin Oak Charity Show Division.
Showed on the national circuit in jumpers at WEF and Tyron
