Equine Work Experience
I have been involved in the professional horse world for the last 18+ years and have a passion for equine sport horse injury prevention and general holistic care. For the last year I have been working at the Dallas Equestrian Center as a riding instructor for both private and group lessons. I assisted with essential barn management tasks for the 25+ horse barn such as client scheduling, horse labor management, barn communication, horse care coordination and scheduling of the farrier to ensure proper hoof health and care, as well as general horse happiness and care. Outside of our lesson program I have assisted with the IEA team administrative tasks and organizing our horse shows. I am also a Certified Equine Massage Therapist through Animal Rehabilitation Institute and have future plans to complete the Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist program through Equissage and the Equine Osteopathy diploma program from Animal Osteopathy International.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden hunter/jumper for 18+ years and competed on the A/AA circuit with top placings. I helped train my green horses to show and eventually sell, and catch rode a few horses with successful results. In 2015, I was #1 in WCHR points for Junior Hunter 3'3".
Competition Details
