In high school, I was a working student for my trainer for 6 months. I helped tack/untack horses, clean the barn, teach younger riders how to handle horses, and taught a few leadline lessons. For my last 2 years in college, I was an Instructor and taught kids from their first time handling a horse up to beginner jumping. I taught horsemanship lessons to both my students and to members of the University of Texas equestrian team. I also helped school a number of sales horses both on the flat and over fences.
