Qualifications
I am currently taking an ANSC 3900 research class with a PhD professor. I am working with her two graduate students to evaluate the effect of pre-pregnancy hyperleptinemia on placental development and the biopsy of ovarian follicle wall: comparison or ECP-sulpiride stimulated, naturally transitioning, and summer cycling. I have also completed nutrition classes and growth and development classes.

Duties of Current Occupation
I am a third year Animal Sciences major on the Science and Technology path at LSU. I am also minoring in biological sciences and agriculture. I participate in many interactive animal labs and I am also on the LSU equestrian team.
Equine Work Experience
I have owned a horse for 5 years and have been on the LSU equestrian team for 3 years. Being on the team has taught me teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. We show equitation in the Zone V Region 4 of IHSA. I compete at a novice level, but will be pointing into limit next fall.
Specialities
I assist graduate students with their graduate projects on evaluating the effect of pre-pregnancy hyperleptinemia on placental development and the biopsy of ovarian follicle wall: comparison or ECP-sulpiride stimulated, naturally transitioning, and summer cycling. I assist in cleaning out mares, recording the follicle length, and retrieving blood samples. I am the treasurer of the Pre-Veterinary Club at LSU and I am on the equestrian team. I can muck stalls and keep a tidy yard.
Type of Ride Work
Before, owning my own horse in 2019, I only rode lesson horses. When riding with the LSU equestrian team, we also ride lesson horses. I flat work and jump at least once every week.
Competition Details
I have competed with the LSU equestrian in the Pre-Novice and Novice levels. We put on two shows every academic school year called Tiger Classic and the LSU Equestrian Show. Tiger Classic is open to any individual who wants to join, and the LSU Equestrian Show is only for the Zone V Region 4 qualifiers in IHSA.
