Duties of Current Occupation

Manage an Equine Rescue/ Rehabilitation facility/program. Once the horses compete their rehab program they are then integrated into the largest Military Veteran therapy and experiential learning program in Austin/ San Antonio Metro Areas.

Equine Work Experience

Starting Colts/fillies Working with green and "dangerous" horses Specialize in Rehabbing OTTB's (currently have 8 in my care) 3 of these are warhorses with over 80 professional races each. Extensive experience working with "body sore" horses, cribbing, ulcers, anxiety, and post-racing career aggression/biting Natural Horsemanship approach( another term for good horsemanship) Liberty Work Been Invited to be the keynote speaker at the 2020 National Cowboy poetry gathering to speak on my work with horses and military veterans. Held equine specialist EAGALA certification until December 2020( lapsed and now a member of the ARCH therapy program) Equine Somatics Level 1 and 2 certifications (cranio-sacral) therapy Have worked and been mentored by horsemen like Joe Wolter, Mike Beck, Brian Neubert, and Michael Richardson (one of the nation's only paraplegic horseman.)

mostly Western saddle style riding, including ranch work, cow-work, trail riding, and ranch versatility type of training. Currently have two OTTB's warhorses I have successfully transitioned into ranch horses that have developed great cow sense and comfortable throwing a rope off of.
