I have passion for what I do, I am an incredibly hard worker, I have the experience and the dedication. I am also not only great with horses but I am also great with people.
Training horses to the best of their abilities, Making sure they are taught properly getting rid of the bad habits/making sure no bad habits are made.
when I was 7, my parents got me lessons on a paint pony named taco and that's where the passion began. I got my own horse at 13, he is why I am the rider I am today, he put me through so much, from getting thrown into fences due to the wrong leg cue to getting ran over in the round pen from not being assertive enough. Once we figured each other out I went on to a mounted drill team I rode on that team for 3 years, my last year I became captain, my job was was to lead the team through drills and hop on any horse that had any problems, I gained a lot of knowledge because I was constantly jumping on horses who had different personalities with different issues, Then after high school I went and worked for a guy who used to compete in cutting, he needed me to work his horses enough so he could sell them and buy new ones, so that's when I started learning to break horses and train them from the very beginning. now I am wanting to go even further into my career and expand my knowledge.
I would consider my specialty Horsemanship, it comes when you realize that a horse is not a tool, it is a living breathing animal with a mind of its own that thinks completely different than we do, when we realize this we connect with the horse on a deeper level, A great horsemen knows every little bit of information their horse gives them. We learn the challenging skill of how to be an assertive leader over an animal who is much larger, and learn to control them without causing fear.
I mostly work western, I have worked in western pleasure, reining, breakaway, team roping, pole bending, barrel racing, mounted drill, and western showmanship. I have also done a little work in English riding, jumping, and dressage. I thoroughly enjoy both areas of the sport.
Growing up I was more of a barrel racer so I mostly went to jackpots and local barrel races, I have won a buckle and multiple cash earnings, I also have tons of ribbons from when I was younger.
