Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.

I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
Took intensive stable management course in Alpharetta, Ga from a student of George Morris.
Was Beginner Ring Chairperson for Saddle Club for two years
Ran 30-stall high-end horse barn for a friend undergoing chemo, which included overseeing medical care and sleeping in RV at shows to help care for and groom horses for classes.
Have ridden everything from ponies to Percherons.
Caring for equines on private farms and estates.
Equine owner for over 30 years. Have shown, trained, trail ridden, helped breed warmbloods, and managed several horse farms. I have a strong work ethic and a lot of energy, but very calm and cool with horses and people. Currently help care for a Tennessee Walker and Gypsy Vanner for a friend in TN. Have cared for these horses for years and farm sat there when owners travel. Moving to the Northeast end of April, so seeking a position in that US area presently. Have driven tractors, handled manure spreaders and other equipment. Don't mind doing some estate maintenance and gardening in the right situation. Have held horses for vets, farrier, teeth floating, and breeding. Was the "bumper girl" when breeding draft horses to hot breeds like thoroughbreds and Arabians. Helped our own pregnant Percheron mare exercise when she had to be taken off fescue; she had a healthy colt! Trail ridden with groups at Cades Cove and other areas of the SE. Showed in flat and helped kids in shows.
My specialty is allowing horse owners to leave town without worrying about their animals or their homes. I also assist older equine owners who need help with daily chores and feeding.I know how to recognize symptoms of equine issues including founder, choke, colic. Know how to administer dewormer and other meds. Breeding experience. Can catch, groom, tack, lunge and ride horses. Love all horses and have an affinity for all breeds. Neat and tidy as a pin, I like a clean barn and living space.
Trained in English and Western, but have mostly trailridden over the last few decades. I generally use a western saddle with light rein contact (simple D-ring snaffle mostly).
Can exercise and accustom horses to trails, but not any fancy dressage candidate here.
Only light personal show experience, but did win a few ribbons here and there when I was younger.
