I am currently enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University working on getting my Bachelors degree in Horse Science. So far, I have taken classes such as Equine Evaluation, Advanced Judging of Horses, Equine Health, Equine Exercise Physiology, Intro to Horsemanship, Intro to Horse care and use, and Horse Production. In these courses I have learned about horse health, reproduction, care, management, and more.

I wish to gain more experience working with horses and in the equine industry. I am a senior college student who is currently working on getting my Bachelor’s degree in Horse Science, and I would love an opportunity for first-hand learning experience

I have experience working in barns where I mucked stalls, feed the horses, built equipment such as fencing, and worked with the owners starting horses. I owned horses and have ridden Arabians, quater horses, thoroughbreds, and draft horses. I have experience handling horses for vet and farrier appointments, including teeth floating and vaccinations.

I have worked with a small breeding facility in which I learned about the insemination and collection process. The classes at my university include labs in which we were taught safety precautions, semen quality, and broodmare insemination and care.

I started riding western trail at 8 years old in Pennsylvania, I switched to riding hunter seat for about 4 years and then moved to an eventing barn and have competed at Novice level. I have ridden bucking and rearing horses and worked with horses that had behavioral issues. I have ridden inexperienced horses and worked with them and a trainer to gain their confidence and abilities.

In my years of riding, I have competed in eventing at novice level and have competed hunter jumper. I have also assisted with the running and set up of a hunter jumper show.
