Although I have never had the opportunity to own a horse of my own, I had both English and Western riding lessons. I do not claim to be experienced because it has been a while since I was riding regularly, however I am a quick learner and very passionate about horses. I also feel confident that I do have a solid foundation to expand upon. My dream has always been to work with horses. I wanted to when I graduated high school, however: I took what I thought was the “responsible/safe” route and furthered my education in the dental field which seemed very stable. I am thankful for my job (& morally feel obligated to work a notice if an opportunity arose) I am still young and do not want to regret not going after what I am truly passionate about. However; the duties as an ortho assistant such as time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others not only can apply to the equestrian world, but allowed me to develop a strong and dedicated work ethic.
