From my training in high level programs at Providence with Logan Harris eventing, Deanna Corby, private lessons with Allison Head and Bobby Myerhoff and working in a large equestrian program, I have gained such a solid foundation in horsemanship, horse care, groundwork, flatting. I have done numerous hours of groundwork and flat work under Deanna Corby with Hugo who had very limited sight and began doing low level dressage. We worked through riding issues, bucking and bronching with success.

I work full time as a social worker and have for 15+ years now. Since 2021, I have worked part-time with Anne Springs Greenway in Equestrian Programs and as a Equine Caretaker. I started teaching beginner-intermediatte lessons last Fall and love it!

I have grown exceptionally as a horsewoman working at Anne Springs Equestrian. It's a large farm with 65-70 horses on the equestrian side alone and a retirement farm of about 8 horses. I have learned so much about feeding, horse care, first aid, medication administration. As far as care, I have cared for various sports injuries, icing, wrapping, recurrent uevitis, eye ulcers, colic, abscesses, foundering and foal care. While horses work in our programs, they deserve the best care and that is vital to me. As a learner and rider of the sport, I have grown up in programs at Providence Equestrian, USDF medalists dressage instructors, Logan Harris Equestrian and have gained invaluable insight in riding performance horses. I have leased, lessoned and showed in these programs and am well aquainted in a show barn personally. During my work at Anne Springs, I fell in love with a 7, now 9 yr old OTTB, Hugo who has recurrent uveitis and personally care for him now. He is happily retired!

Being a social worker for 15+ years with most of that time being in women's and children's work, I have exceptional skills in working with people, youth and children. I have ability to regulate situations and tensions that could be helpful in a large show barn. I started riding as an adult at Providence Equestrian and have totally fallen in love with the sport and horses. I developed a passion for equine care at Anne Springs. From my equestrian training, I have a passion for solid equitation.

I have performed exercise rides at Anne Springs Equestrian on younger and greener horses, three OTTBs, various lessons horses from Arabs to Tennesse Walkers and lesson ponies needing some correction. While my main mount is typically not a green mount that I lesson and train on, I do have experience in riding these horses and have done so successfully and am capable of doing solid flat and ground work with younger and greener horses. Equitation is key in developing and consistent work pays off!

I showed in a lease when I rode in Logan Harris' eventing program in 2022 at Carolina Horse Park, War Horse Series and won ribbons. I also showed at Harmon Classics, Winter Classic at Tryon International in jumpers, won ribbons. I love showing while transtioned to working with younger and greener horses after that. I am currently in a lease with a schoolmaster showjumper OTTB and would love to do some hunter shows with him.
