Duties of Current Occupation

5* Groom, assistant rider and trainer, I have years of experience riding, training and caring for eventing/jumper horses ranging from green broke to 5 star horses with a handful of years of teaching experience during and around my time in Aiken, SC.

Equine Work Experience

I have competed through the 1.10 jumpers, and training level in eventing, and many years schooling at the 1.20 and modified/ preliminary levels on many different horses.

Among my years of riding experience I have years of experience both in a legal setting and equine management/ trainer role, which gave me an array of communication and critical thinking skills. During my time as an upper level groom and assistant rider and trainer, I also managed our team of staff, all of the horses schedules and aided in competing and training the both the young and sale horses while assisting in the riding of the FEI/ upper level event horses.

I do also have years of experiences driving a 5 horse head to head truck and trailer.

Specialities

I have led a team of about 4-6 staff whilst managing an upper level eventing program of approximately 25-30 horses. While at this facility I assisted in the riding and training of sales horses, client horses and the FEI horses while being the primary contact for all of their care. I worked closely with our team of vets, farriers and barn staff. I also have years of experience teaching beginner through intermediate level riders.

Type of Ride Work

Dressage, Eventing and Jumpers.

Competition Details

I have both groomed at the 5* level and competed the young, training and sales horses horses within the same 5* eventing program. As a team member at my full time job, and collegiate athlete, I won the 2023 USEA Intercollegiate National Championships out of an 89 rider field, on a young sales horse for aforementioned eventing facility. I have trained/ coached beginner level through intermediate level riders both at home base and competition.
