Equine Work Experience

Locust Lane Riding Center - Coatesville, PA June 2015 to Present Led campers, ages 6-16, through daily equine instruction activities during 8-week therapeutic summer program. Communicated with staff about camper needs and progress. Supported daily stable management, inventory, and horse care including exercise after camp hours. Educate visitors about proper care, safety, and exercise of our animals available. Active all day, follow directions, teach lessons, and group sessions independently. Repair fencing from weather issues or when necessary to maintain proper standard. Manual labor with 50lb feed bags and hay bales to feed horses their proper nutrition.

Specialities

Delaware Valley University Softball August 2022 to Present As a college athlete I am responsible for getting work done on and off the field. Showing up on time and prepared is crucial for my position as well as working with my team to achieve a common goal. Even as a freshman, I stood out to my coaches as a leader and example to the rest of my teammates. Now as a sophomore, I have been named a captain of my team for the 2023-2024 season.

Type of Ride Work

Flat work with walk, trot, canter, ground poles, weave poles, barrels, and low jumping.

Competition Details

I have worked at a small competitive dressage barn in the past and stood in as a groom in some situations. I myself have never competed but I have assisted in the planning of a small horse show.
