I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.

Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. Can lounge and i would be interested to get to ride some flatwork/hacking (not necessary, just wanting i could further my skills) I would need a live in-position and would be greatful if i can take my two wellbaved cats with me :)
I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
On barn staff, I make grain for 33 horses at a showing facility, clean stalls, coordinate turn-in and turn out, and bath and groom horses on the property. I care for injured horses, helping in their rehab activities. I also help with lessons.
I've been around horses for 5 years now, I started out working in a barn that focused on helping children with special needs learn how to ride, therapeutic horsemanship as it was called. I then moved on to a show barn where I began riding and showing myself in the hunter/equitation ring. I've done a few low-level jumper things. I currently own 2 family horses, one that I'm personally working on to become a hunter with a strong basis in dressage, she's a 5-year-old OTTB. I can comfortably jump 2'9"/3' but I often show 2'3"-2'6". As I said, I work in a show barn now on their barn staff. I'm well versed in wrapping legs and feet, confident in recognising signs of choke and colic, and level headed in all situations.
I'm very neat, I enjoy keeping things organized, including schedules. I'm a very quick and efficient worker in both turn-in/out and cleaning stalls. I've helped rehab horses with a myriad of injuries, from needing to regain muscle after being out of work for some time, to aiding in tendonitis rehab, and even monitoring and helping with a horse who had broken her leg. I've worked with young and old horses, show horses and fresh off-the-track OTTBs, and stallions. Always willing to learn and grow.
I'm currently restarting my mare, we got her as a green 4-year-old OTTB who had sat for 6 months prior. I've ridden finished horses, green horses, problem horses, quirky horses, and anything in between. I'm willing to get on anything as long as you tell me what the quirks are and what the goal is. I can comfortably jump 2'9"/3', but I tend to show at 2'3"-2'6". I've shown in hunters and equitation.
I'm currently working in a competition barn. I'm willing to learn how to be a groom, I work quickly and effectively and know how to tack a horse. I've competed in hunters and equitation.
