I am looking for a live-in stable hand job in southeastern PA or NJ, that would do general barn chores--mucking stalls, grooming, feeding, blanketing, turnout, etc.-- in exchange for housing for me & my horse. Like most here, I am nearly as happy scooping poo as I am reading a good book, and I'm ready to show it. ;-) I can also sleep just as well in a barn as a bedroom, with pasture board or stabling being suitable for my other half. This would need to be a short-term position, only for a few weeks-two months maximum- prior to my departure from the coast. I recognize the importance of working promptly and enthusiastically, with determination, diligence, and unbridled optimism, even in the face of adversity. Outside of the horse world, I am a BIO major with an interest in one day pursuing veterinary medicine. (Though school is on hold for the next semester.) I am fully vaccinated, drug and alcohol free, and am happy to provide an over-the-phone reference from my long riding mentor, Sea.
