Duties of Current Occupation

Summer of 2025 I worked as a riding instructor at an overnight summer camp. I mostly taught beginners but I had a few more advance riders as well. I was also responsible for helping with the care of all the horses at camp.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding for 5 years, I can do walk, trot, canter and I have done hunter-jumper (18 inches). I am currently an equine student in college where I work with and care for horses daily, both riding and on the ground.

Specialities

I have mostly worked with mares and geldings. I have not worked with foals but I have worked with younger/green horses a few times. I can also do basic barn chores such as mucking, filling water, hay/grain, and turn in/out.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden many different types of horses whether that be older, younger, mares or geldings and various different breeds. So far though, I have mainly ridden thoroughbreds and quarter horses but at my college we have a large variety of horses that I ride. I am comfortable doing flatwork and small jumps.

Competition Details

I have not necessarily competed but before college I was in IEA and would help my barn prepare for shows.
