Invaluable to training. Having someone on the ground the whole time is unrealistic so the mirrors provide continuous feedback on many aspects of riding especially with straightness, angles and posture. Our Unique System of Arena Mirrors are backed and framed in galvanised steel

Qualifications

I have completed so far : Intro to equine management Equine health management I am currently taking: Equine anatomy and physiology Intro to teaching horsemanship Ground training

Duties of Current Occupation

Do turn arounds for feed time and complete daily barn chores. Barn chores include setting grain, cleaning stalls and water buckets, sweeping, giving hay, and moving horses for vet and farrier appointments.

Equine Work Experience

I’ve been riding and working with horses for about 8 years. I currently ride at my college at the intermediate 1 level in western. I am a double major in equine health management and equine teaching/ training. I am a seasonal weekend feeder at my home barn and I am a working equine student at the college I attend. In my one class I have learned and given IM injections and have done a blood draw.

Type of Ride Work

I mainly ride English and western pleasure with a small amount of dressage experience. I retrained a horse to be kid safe again after a person who leased him did not treat him nicely. I’ve had my Appaloosa since he was 4 and green. I trained my mini horse from a yearling who knew nothing and is now ground driving. I tend to be given sensitive horses to ride because of how soft I can be.

Competition Details

I competed in western pleasure for the first couple years of my riding, switched to English, and once I bought my own horse I competed in both disciplines. I competed in 4-h and made it to the state level. I rode for an IEA team my senior year of high school.
