I have completed all three Equine Science classes through Nelson Academy Online and associated classes for their Animal Science 10 Class Completion.

Cleaning stables, feeding, filling water, lunging horses, banding mane/tails before shows, taking horses to turnout, instructing beginning and intermediate lessons, creating lesson plans, grooming/clipping, basic maintenance/mechanical work

I taught lessons and was a working student for 2 years with a western show stable, took lessons with the same place for 8-10 years, and showed with them for my final year of high school. I re-saddle-trained my horse and fixed his poor ground manners, fixed some in-saddle and ground behavior issues with a mare I worked with, and started the training on a foal. The filly was taught good leading manners, lunging, picking up feet, standing while tied, backing, and had begun introducing tarps/bags/blankets/etc.

Most of my working experience has been in flatwork, cavaletti, and groundwork. I have some light personal experience with jumping, but only low bunny jumps due to the age of my horse. I have some experience with barrel/playday riding; however, I have not competed in any of these beyond a few show-team in-house races.

I competed with Coyote Ridge LLC at the Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association shows in my senior year of high school. I was a groom for two horses (including my own) while showing.
