Equine Work Experience
Prior to college, I held positions as a stable hand at barns housing over 50 horses. In these roles, I was responsible for tasks such as feeding, watering, stall cleaning, and horse turnout. Furthermore, I have shared my knowledge and passion for equestrianism by teaching children proper horse grooming and tacking techniques, as well as assisting with pony camps. During free time I also practiced braiding.
My dedication to the well-being of horses extends beyond stable management to veterinary care. I had the privilege of completing an in-hospital working student internship at Peterson Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. This experience provided me with firsthand exposure to equine medicine, enhancing my understanding of horse health and enabling me to recognize and address various symptoms and ailments.
