Hello! Not looking for a job currently, just scoping out the equestrian employment space.Duties of Current Occupation
Crosstie assistant: Assisted with helping young riders learn how to groom, tack, clean, and practice safe handling of their lesson horses. On occasion helped my coach assist with her lessons- walking next to the riders, manage fun riding games, etc.
Equine Work Experience
I've been riding since I was 8, have been jumping for 4 years, and have been showing in the hunter jumpers for 3 years. I have some experience in a western saddle and can manage horses on the ground. I love flatwork and believe good flatwork skills are the blueprint for beautiful, solid jumping rounds.
Type of Ride Work
Hunter jumper, currently showing a 10 year old OTTB the ropes in competing. I have experience riding hunter derbies, equitation medals, and hunter over/fences classes.
Competition Details
I have competed in the hunter jumpers for 3 years, and have assisted my coaches with show problems/tasks whenever asked of me. I have a solid understanding of how to manage show schedules, cleaning tasks, and proper horse care before and after competing.
