With 13 years of riding experience, I've honed my skills in both showing and horse care. I've provided attentive care for horses, managing their feeding and ensuring the cleanliness of the barn. This summer, I had the privilege of serving as a horse barn attendant at the 4H center in Reidsville, NC. There I was in charge of 11 different horses ranging in ages. My responsibilities included:

● Ensuring the safety of riders, horses, and all participants during lessons and activities. ● Inspected and maintained riding equipment and facilities to ensure they meet safety standards. ● Conduct regular health assessments, including checking vital signs, assessing body condition, and monitoring for signs of illness or injury. ● Collaborate with veterinarians and farriers for routine care, vaccinations, dental care, and hoof maintenance. ● Develop and implement customized nutrition plans for individual horses to ensure optimal health and performance. ● Provide guidance and training t

I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of horses, including mares and stallions from various backgrounds and ages. Last summer, I provided care for mares who had experienced past trauma under previous owners. Additionally, I worked with a mare who was recently separated from her foal, senior horses, and untrained horses that needed some extra help. My experience extends to show horses in dressage and hunt seat disciplines. As well as groundwork, barn cleanliness, and maintenance.

I've had the privilege of working with a diverse array of horses, immersing myself in various disciplines such as dressage, hunter seat, western riding, and even some jumping. Throughout my journey, I've ventured into the exhilarating world of competitive shows, with a particular focus on dressage competitions. Additionally, I've had the rewarding experience of training and conditioning two-quarter horses for dressage events under the guidance of a private owner.

Having competed in numerous dressage competitions in my youth, I grasp the intricacies of preparing both horse and rider for the arena. I diligently groomed horses and meticulously cleaned tack, ensuring peak performance readiness. As a counselor at a horse camp, I orchestrated a personalized contest, challenging campers to demonstrate their acquired skills, a testament to my leadership and organizational abilities.
