Full-Time student. Have worked at a barn before; have also started horses under saddle, ground work, etc. Training area was western performance( reined-cow horse, reining horse) but also a big fan of dressage. I'm not dead set on a trainer job though
Managed a barn for 8 years and all the work that comes with it. I was the only employee, so I did all the work. Ran equipment, weeded pastures, trained horses, helped the vet, helped the farrier. There's too much stuff to list here; I'm also familiar with equine anatomy and nutrition. Can recognize choke, colic, lamenesses and can do IM injections if needed. Managed horses with PPID, PSSM, COPD/RAO, EPM, Navicular syndrome, ringbone/side-bone, laminitis, and founder.
Equine first-aid, starting young horses, groundwork, problem horses, I can get horses soft in your hand and off your leg. I can do this without side-reins, martingale, tie-downs, draw-reins, and leverage(curb) bits. can clean stalls etc. OCD about cleaning leather equipment.
Western performance foundation training with an emphasis on softness and control of horses entire body.
showed youth western pleasure, 2018 will be my first year competing in reining on my horse that I trained myself.
