Qualifications
9+ years of hands on riding and horse experience.
Duties of Current Occupation
I work from home as an equestrian focused charcoal artist. I also care for my own horse I keep at home in addition to our livestock birds we raise.
Equine Work Experience
I care for my horse daily. I keep him on our own property and have owned him for 5+ years. He is a 19 year old Belgian Warmblood. He has unfortunately suffered multiple lamenesses such as hoof abscesses and stress fractures. He also has had to deal with various ailments such as choke, fevers and hitching patellas. I have cared for each of these personally under advisement of our vet. I also barefoot trim him each month myself to the satisfaction of our vet.
Specialities
I ride bareback 90% of the time. The other 10% is basic dressage.
I barefoot trim. Clean sheaths. Bathe. Administer wormer and unpalatable drugs. Lunging experience. Experience with western and English tack. Cleans tack.
Type of Ride Work
Mostly bareback riding. (I use a thin line bareback pad … I know not the same thing but warmblood withers are a factor) Some basic dressage riding. I have no proper ring so I just ride in the flattest part of his field and then spend most my time on the trails/road/yard. I have some experience with western riding as well.
Competition Details
I have not at all been involved in competitions personally. But am a fast learner and very organized and time oriented. I have attended multiple shows as a spectator especially at Tryon Equestrian Center but probably doesn’t quite count.
