Qualifications

Experienced horsewoman with nearly 15 years below the belt. No courses taken, but have experienced almost every single thing from a mare aborting, retaining the placenta and preventing laminitis or founder from following, to refeeding starvation cases, and caring horses who have foundered. I've treated abscesses, treated wounds from horses jumping (not clearing) out of fences and ripping off their skin, and can even regrow hair on old scars they may have.

Duties of Current Occupation

Teaching, training, riding, starting & backing, trimming & pulling, plaiting/braiding, jumping, flatwork, low level dressage. Have been a working student.

Equine Work Experience

17 years riding, grooming, handling and being with horses. 10 years teaching and 6 years producing quality performance horses. Have worked as a student in a KWPN and OLD breeding barn and handled 18 hand (and foul tempered) dressage show horses as well as fully conditioned hunt horses, all the way to wiry, fresh yearlings as well as sassy broodmares.

Specialities

Great skills working with difficult/sensitive horses, and know how to feed a horse for many purposes including top level performance with hard keepers. Good eye for picking out talented horses; great eye for hoof issues and how to fix them without bandaiding. Specializing in riding the quirkiest, bloodiest and hottest types of horses. Skillset includes jumping up to 1.50, and riding horses with a hard jump. Keen understanding of horsemanship and horse keeping/management.

Type of Ride Work

Showjumping, schooling 1.50. Have started a horse from the ground up including introduction of the saddle and girth recently with zero blowups or incidents. Have done the hunters with great understanding of the divisions and produced my own from just flatwork to jumping 1.50.

Competition Details

Have done and coached at countless schooling and local circuit shows, with many year end champion awards; C level shows with good placings in competitive fields including professionals, winning the jump off at my second C show ever, and up to AA level through the .90's.
