Experienced and established Instructor/Yard Manager with 10 years of private teaching experience. Has run private home and commercial livery yards. Looking for a permanent position in a quite yard, possibly non competitive.
I have over 35 years of equine veterinarian assist / technician. I can barefoot shod, float teeth, pull wolf teeth. I also have advanced training/experience in nutrition from mares in foal to weanlings to the sport horse to the senior horse. I have saddled/ridden over 70k horses in my 48 years. Riding on the racetracks and or training tracks and or riding the youngsters in the afternoon and even at night. I pinhooked thoroughbreds in the early 1990s and I also traveled all over to ride for cert
I’ve worked in equine industry all over the USA, Mexico and Singapore for 48 plus years.
I have over 48 years of equine experience. And in every aspect. I won my first horse show (western pleasure at age 2. I started breaking/training my own string of horses by age 8. I’ve shown hunter/jumpers, eventing, dressage, and even a gaited show. I was galloping, racing, training/riding; though at age 8 only at brush track meets. I got my 1st track license in Kentucky at age 16 as an exercise rider & I had my gate card. You can’t hold a jockey’s license and trainer’s license at the same time because it is a conflict of interest. I got my first trainers license in OK then AR, PA, FL, I held an exercise riders license as well as my trainer’s license because I started the majority of the juveniles myself. I rode for many other trainers because I’ve an outstanding & highly sought after skill: I have quiet hands, I am calm/I never panic, I am great w/ the youngsters & ones NO ONE else wants to/will ride. I pride myself on my ability to turn even the rankest horse into a trusted mount
Starting juveniles/reschooling even the rankest horse. I have run/managed a full-time breeding program (thoroughbreds which means only live covers if registering with the Jockey Club.) Please forgive me if I am a bit wordy. I also have the same experience in equine veterinary medicine and have worked as assistant veterinarian / equine veterinary technician with some of the top equine veterinarians in the USA. I can barefoot shod. Float teeth, pull wolf teeth.
Won first horse show: western pleasure at age 2. I started breaking/training (my own string of horses) and race riding at bush track meets at age 8. I have saddled/started over 70k horses over half of those I started / was first in the saddle. I’ve shown hunter/jumpers (5’ plus fences) trained mounted patrol horses, shown dressage, run barrels and more.
certain owners/trainers all over the USA. I’ve also worked with horses in Mexico, Singapore and more. I am an open book! Ask me anything you want. I do not know everything! I never will because there is always more/new information/skills to learn.Oh I can pull a mane like you wouldn’t believe! Trace clips, body clips, trimming ears, muzzles, forelock etc. blanketing, turnouts, medications oral and or injections. Cleaning stalls & picking stalls. Straw, shavings and many other materials.
