Duties of Current Occupation

Exercise riding, training, teaching lessons, groom, sole charge, barn work.

Equine Work Experience

Growing up with a backyard barn I have 34+ years in the saddle. I have run lesson facilities, scheduled lessons, cared for facility horses. I was raised on a 60 acre hay farm and had 3 horses of my own. I’ve worked closely with vets (emergency, athletic, breeding), administered medications, can handle any horse on the ground. My students have shown Hunter, jumper, and equitation and have consistently placed top 3. I ride Hunt seat, but also western pleasure and level 2 dressage. I am gentle, kind, and honest.

Specialities

Need a coach for a show? Need a barn sitter for the day/weekend? Need a show groom? Need a temp instructor for your facility? Need help perfecting the setup of your new barn? Fitting tack to your new horse? You name it, I can do it! For any equestrian/equine/facility help you need, I’m your gal!

Type of Ride Work

Exercises adhering to owner’s plan. Exercise to stick to a training plan for my client and their horse. Desensitizing, physical rehab, conditioning. Warm-up rider, catch rider.

Competition Details

Bonding and understanding with my clients so they may bond and understand their horse is what I strive to do. You and your horse are a team, and my teaching foundation is to always be fair and respectful. Every rider & horse a unique way of learning. There is no umbrella rule. I pride myself on finding the comfortable space where both horse and rider feel safe and respected.
