Have natural ability with all animals to quietly sense their needs, and to intuitively act accordingly. I’ve been in numerous situations of emergency, such as colic and other paddock emergency situations with geriatric horses, and know how to calmly take action. I have developed & practice daily strong people skills. I am an active listener, clear communicator, and consistently practice empathy.

Feed and care for 14 horses, all aspects of barn management for private boarding stable in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Employed full-time from 12/20 to present. Barn is soon to close down its boarding operation, and I am seeking similar work with horses.

• extensive experience working on the ground with horses managing their daily needs, including grooming, summer fly mask and winter blanketing—plus maintaining consistent turn out schedules. Adept at maintaining schedules of administering various medications such as anti-inflammatories, supplements, thyroid powder, etc.

• Extensive experience in horse barn grounds management, including fencing, mowing, re-seeding, and general welding *Horse care skills include wide range of feeding requirements. Also direct care experience, including leading, tying, grooming, turn out, hoof and eye care—plus fly mask routines and winter blanketing for 14 horses.
• Time management of operating barn hours, dealing efficiently with 10 horse owners with diverse needs and riding schedules. *Hay acquisition, locating, stacking.

No extensive experience working with horses under saddle, have undertaken beginning riding training. Most of my experience is with animals on the ground maintaining their daily needs.
