I've attended many clinics over the years and have completed a short course in equine massage.

I grew up riding horses both western and english, competing in various disciplines at a low level, taught beginner lessons, and was a camp counselor at riding summer camps as a teenager. I was a groom, stable hand, and lesson instructor at a training barn that focused on French Classical Dressage for a little over two years. Last summer I was a shift lead/trail guide at a busy trail riding operation based out of a family camp in Yosemite, where I was in charge of the health and wellbeing of 20 horses and mules and the management of four employees.

I am fast and efficient re: mucking and building fences, can drive and operate tractors with attachments, and pull trailers. I am comfortable diagnosing, monitoring, and treating horses for illness and injury. I have experience with creating and managing the schedule of a busy lesson program, teaching individual and group lessons, leading and dragging large groups on trail, ponying horses, giving pony rides, grooming and tacking up many horses quickly and efficiently, maintaining tack, etc.

I have experience starting horses, teaching extensive groundwork, and I've done a few first rides. I am comfortable riding young, green, hot, and "problem" horses.

I showed at a very low local level in showjumping, and was a 1D competitor in barrel racing and gymkhana in Junior and High School Rodeo.
