College courses in Horsemanship and riding experience from a young age.
Duties of Current Occupation
I worked at the State Psychiatric Hospital in MA before moving here to NJ. Direct care and activity leader for psychiatric patients.
Equine Work Experience
I have been a rider my whole life, and was involved in the horsemanship program at my college (the University of New Hampshire) which involved 1 classroom hour and 3 riding hours a week. Since college I have been a volunteer in therapeutic riding programs as a groom and horse leader, including bringing my patients at the hospital to put on site PATH certified therapeutic riding barn.
Specialities
I’m very vigilant and can spot abnormalities/injuries in horses quickly. I love grooming.
Type of Ride Work
rode English and enjoyed jumping. Pretty much rode older horses who were not green, but the ones that were donated to my College did have some behavioral problems.
