Cleaning and grooming horses, cleaning stalls and tack, exercising and cooldown of horses, taking care of feeding.
I worked at 7 springs horse barn, I worked there for a riding opportunity same with at the other barn I have worked for, which is the furlongs private barn. At 7 springs I'd take horses in and let them out at night, bring them feed, and make sure the stalls were clean. I'd make sure the barn was always very clean by sweeping when needed. At the Private farm, I would tack up her horses for her to ride, and then I would hack them in the woods and bring them back to the barn and untack them. Always making sure another horse was tacked before going on the hack and then when I'd get back tack up the next horse and go on the next hack. And by the end of the day of cleaning stalls feeding her horses and the barn and the dirty tack, I would get my riding lesson. At the first barn, I worked there for about a year and at the second barn, I worked there for about a year too, stopped going after because high school started getting busy.
I have ridden a lot of horses from quarter horses to hunter jumpers. A small amount of jumping and dressage mostly rode English, but I have ridden a lot of Western as well. I've ridden a problem horse to help get him under control and less feisty for his owner.
