Invaluable to training. Having someone on the ground the whole time is unrealistic so the mirrors provide continuous feedback on many aspects of riding especially with straightness, angles and posture. Our Unique System of Arena Mirrors are backed and framed in galvanised steel

Equine Work Experience

I grew up working around horses and competed at AAA shows, including WEF and the Sunshine Circuit, when I lived in Florida. I successfully assisted in training horses and instructing riders, and led group lessons with younger students, and adults. I both rode and taught english style riding, with a focus on hunter, jumper, and equitation. I have ridden some dressage and have a working knowledge of the basics, but did not compete or teach it.

Most of my experience was gained as a working student, where I had one horse of my own, and rode many more for schooling and exercising purposes, as well as showing some to gain them experience for future buyers, or their in-training riders. I trained, through clinics, with riders and instructors such as Greg Best, Tony Land, and Margie Goldstein-Engle, and longterm with Mary Lou Gallagher.

Specialities

Instructing and communicating with students, parents, etc.

Type of Ride Work

While I would like to ride a bit, just in a casual, slow sense, my disability likely means I will not be able to ride for the purposes of show, schooling, or training. My hope is to find a position where I can instruct and work with students overseeing their learning with the horses and helping to guide parents and riders to finding the right sort of riding/competing/horse ownership for them.

Competition Details

None recently. When young, I competed in the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida, in shows at both Tampa and Wellington, as well as many others throughout the state and east coast. Details of where I placed when are long since lost to time, but I had extensive experience in both large scale Triple A shows, and small local shows.
