I have a Bachelor's of Equine Science from the University of New Hampshire.

I have had several barn hand job opportunities that have included the general care of horses - turn out, feed, grooming, tacking, wound care. I interned at a breeding farm in KY where my role included barn tasks and caring for broodmares and foals.

I have thirteen years of riding experience, six of those years with two horses of my own. Throughout my college experience I volunteered at horse shows as a ring steward and works as a barn hand momentarily. Recently I completed the Kentucky Equine Management Internship where I spent five months on one of Kentucky’s thoroughbred breeding farms.

I completed a five month internship in Kentucky during breeding season. I have assisted in the foalings of many thoroughbreds and have attended breeding shed sessions. This internship was highly demanding of physical and emotional strength. I developed strong horsemanship skills from foal watch, day-to-day handling of newborn foals, applying correctional leg wraps, and caring for wounds.

I evented with a quarter horse/ paint and a thoroughbred but have other experience riding warm bloods and friesians.
