Qualifications
I have 15 years of horse experience. I started off as a working student cleaning stalls to pay for lessons and board, then picked up a couple beginner lesson students, onto grooming for upper level eventers, and finally my current managing and training position.
I have experience teaching beginner to intermediate lessons and running a horse summer camp but would prefer a position more related to grooming, managing, or sales.

Duties of Current Occupation
Currently I’m responsible for the daily care of 15 horses, some of which I exercise a couple times a week, source grain, teach beginner to intermediate lessons, hold horses for vet and farrier appointments, and some experience hauling.
Equine Work Experience
I have worked in a professional equestrian environment for around 18 months. I have groomed for upper level eventers at home and managed a small, boutique boarding facility of 15 horses.
My work has included everything from using a tractor with a bucket, pulling manes and clipping, picking stalls, weed eating, dragging the driveways, arenas, and fields, and carrying out schooling rides on green horses, turning in and out, hauling to the vet and riding clinics.
I have a 12 y/o OTTB I am in the process of producing. It’s looking as though we will be ready for our Beginner Novice debut this fall.
Specialities
I have worked with breeding mares and foals, however never any stallions.
I am a very big fan of thoroughbreds!
I enjoy keeping the barn very organized and tidy.
I am a motivated self starter, capable of working on my own.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden a great deal of green horses. It’s actually quite seldom I school something more experienced. I also will school problem horse- barn sour, bucking under saddle, and tense mainly.
I’m schooling training level dressage tests and jumping 2’7” singles and oxers at the moment. I have fox hunted twice with Hardaway Hounds in second flight.
I have not gotten the opportunity to start a horse yet! I have helped halter break and start handling foals however.
Competition Details
I have competed in schooling shows with my own mare but I haven’t done any recognized events yet. I’m hoping to this fall however!
