Duties of Current Occupation
As an assistant teacher at my Hebrew school, I make sure the kids feel safe and respect others, as well as helping the teacher deliver the lesson. As a seasonal warehouse employee, I usually box products or assemble the boxes for the products.
Equine Work Experience
I took seven months of riding lessons, and I helped out grooming the horses and taking care of them as a CIT in the barn at summer camp for the past three summers. My primary equine skills reside in grooming them and keeping the stables tidy, as well as making the horses feel safe enough for riding.
Specialities
I know how to groom a horse and make it feel safe/comfortable. For example, I know how to chip away debris on the bottom of a horse's shoe without touching the frog, I know in which order to groom horses and the ways to do it effectively and comfortable for the horse, I know not to walk behind the horse unless I'm patting its rear the whole time, and I know that sudden loud movements and noises trigger the horse. I also know how to muck out a stable fairly quickly
Type of Ride Work
I mostly rode calm, moderately sized horses.
