Qualifications
I am currently still in high school and am eagerly searching for a job. Since I have the most experience in stable hand work, I would have the best environment for me to work in. I am also completely open to any and all training or refreshers since It has been a 2 year gap since I have worked stable hand chores.
Documents
Equine Work Experience
I have previously ridden for about 8 years, mainly in my youth to teenage years. I do not ride anymore, simply because I fell out of it. I rode at two different stables, the one I worked at previously and another I rode at called Wheaton Stables. Like previously explained, I have experience in helping with horse riding lessons with younger kids.
Specialities
I have a lot of experience in leadership roles as well as tidiness and organization. I have worked as a stable hand previously at a barn of 11 horses all with differing personalities and some with medical conditions. I do my absolute best at doing the best I can with the tools I have and am always willing to get more training.
Type of Ride Work
When I used to ride, I rode all sorts of horses. I mainly rode middle to older aged horses because I was always around an older herd when working. I have experience jumping and flat work however over the years I enjoyed trail riding the most. I don’t have a lot of experience starting a horse but I have always thought it would be an awesome experience to do so. Additionally, I have experience riding green horses as well.
Competition Details
I have done some local competitions, It was for younger children when I did the majority of my riding. I would get ribbons and medals, I didn’t do a lot of competing after a fall I endured.
I have never worked as a competition groom or organized any professional equine competitions but it seems like something I could become experienced in with training.
