Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.

Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. Can lounge and i would be interested to get to ride some flatwork/hacking (not necessary, just wanting i could further my skills) I would need a live in-position and would be greatful if i can take my two wellbaved cats with me :)
I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
I have a specialized (healthcare) MBA and a bachelor's in Biology with a minor in communication. Management is surprisingly similar, as organization, excellent communication, strong customer service, time management, and training skills are very applicable to most fields. In addition, I was an EMT; I am comfortable with any vet-type skills such as bandaging, wound care, IM injections, dosing meds, and mixing titrations. I have done human IVs and am confident I can learn equine IVs with training.
My first equine experience was at Equine Girl Scout camp in Wildwood, FL (I am a native). After that, I HAD TO HAVE A HORSE. My mother also rode, so eventually we purchased 10 acres and had our own horses starting when I was in about 4/5th grade. At 11, my Christmas present was my own 3 year old that I was responsible for training. Since then, I have worked at stables since college, mostly working off lessons or board. I would say I have roughly a decade of horse care and maintenance experience, mostly in the barn/care/office realm. However, I have taken to teaching acquaintances and friends informally about basic handling, riding, equipment, and riding mechanics. I am qualified to teach beginners, but would need more experience and further my skills to teach at a higher level. Given the right opportunity, I would love to accomplish this.
I have worked with many types of horses, including saddlebreds, warmbloods, drafts and thourobreds. I have experience handling studs as well as mares/foals. I was responsible for desensitization and basic ground manners up until yearlings at a small saddlebred breeding farm. I have several years of lead and management experience ranging from teams of 4 to 8 and organizations that top 5000+ employees.
I rode western as a youngling and was responsible for tacking and training my first horse independently. I switched to English pleasure/jumps during college. I leased an eventer my senior year and she taught me invaluable lessons. Since then, I have mainly focused on my personal horse, Howie. I mainly ride English pleasure out on a hack and some ring work/crossrails. I am fascinated by all the disciplines, so I would enjoy additional experiences with different riding styles.
I have not competed outside of college, but have a strong interest on doing so!
