I know the basics of grooming and am comfortable with it, minus foot trims, I can only pick. I have never done any clipping minus manes on fjord horses, and I need to learn to do all of the more showy braids. Beginning to learn to lunge a horse and do basic groundwork, including basics for driving/cart horses. I have worked with foals quite a bit so far as well. I have done a casual pain point workshop and know how to check for pain in all locations of the horse's body, and which stretches and exercises help ease that pain. Can tack up a horse on my own, and have checked fits for kids after they've tacked up as well. Also know how to fit a helmet properly. I have worked with fjords and caspian ponies primarily, but some other randoms include two spotted drafts, some cobbs, and two standardbred crosses.
I work with kids to build connections with horses at a barn near me. I guide them through the process using principles learned in the Natural Lifemanship courses. I am a beginner to this as well, and still learning.
Very basic, working in walk/trot, including over trot poles. Have done some work bareback, never bridleless or bitless. I have not gone further than the trot yet! Currently working on having better control of myself and the horse while in a trot. The trainer I take lessons under teaches classical riding
I have never competed.
