Qualifications
I have tacked, groomed and exercised horses. On the ranch, I was responsible for 23 horses, some of which were mustangs.
I am looking for an opportunity with someone who understands there is an unspoken connection that we have with horses and is willing to give an able bodied, 34 year-old male who has that connection a chance to see where it leads. I am ready and willing to learn, whether that’s an apprenticeship or whatever form you are comfortable with.

Duties of Current Occupation
From October 2021 to June of 2022, I received my first official horse experience. The ranch owner, Karen, a 55 year-old woman who grew up with horses, confirmed what I intuitively knew to be true - I have a gift with horses.
Equine Work Experience
I am happy to groom, muck and truly do anything to be around horses. I only have 8 months official experience, from October 2021 to June of 2022, where the ranch owner, a 55 year-old woman who grew up with horses, told me I have a gift. I knew this, intuitively, because I’ve always felt most present and at peace among horses. left the opportunity on my own and have since come to realize that I belong with horses.
Several years earlier, in Northern California, I used to visit a ranch every day just to be with the horses. One day, the co-owner came out and said, “are you a horse whisperer or something? I’ve been around horses for 20+ years and have never seen them respond to someone the way they do with you.”
I don’t believe in the phrase, “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” Instead, I believe in being present with the horse and giving it my full attention to find out whether or not it’s thirsty in the first place.
I am willing to relocate anywhere.
Specialities
I have a largely unexplored connection with horses. recently wrote that I don't know what horse whispering is, but I do know that whatever may be whispered isn't a word, it's not an intention, it's a silent presence that beckons, "come, be who you are, be here with me and let us dance spontaneously in this moment together." Yes, I only have 8 months of official experience that came within the last year, but I promise you won’t regret adding me to your team. No work is below me.
Type of Ride Work
I am a very inexperienced rider. I’ve only ridden horses at a walk and trot.
