Looking for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing achievements of a supportive and collaborative team with a progressive equestrian program for summer circuit and WEF 2025 with a focus on long-term success. Will provide cover letter/professional resume/equestrian resume/professional references, including pictures and videos upon request.
I am a 20 year USEF/USHJA professional with a long resume of training riders and horses from the most beginner local level to showing at the biggest A shows and taking clients to Florida and qualifying for indoors. I’ve done everything from breaking untouched 10 year old horses for pleasure to training winners of state medal finals and ribbon winners at USEF pony finals and Indoors. Currently located in the research triangle (Raleigh) of North Carolina but willing to relocate for the right fit.
A mature and reliable individual with transferrable skills and a varied work experience, seeks a temp role to complete Ride Safe & general riding. Opportunity to ride out/develop in-hand work welomed. Home counties preferred.
Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
I was a team silver medalist in the 2014 NAJYRC CCI2*, 2014 Intermediate young rider of the year, received the 2012 Rising Star Award at the USEA National Banquet following winning the 2012 Training level American Eventing Championship's. I was privileged to spend three weeks in Ireland working for Parkmore Stud where I was taught to properly handle and show their stallions in-hand and under saddle. I've also started multiple young horses and sold them on to their next or forever homes.
Teaching students from 5yrs - 15yrs to ensure they're proficient in their general education, have a correct and solid seat and lower leg, good instincts, and most importantly, are as safe as they can be!
I competed from the time I was 8 yrs to 23 yrs before taking a break to explore the corporate world and quickly realizing that my passions meant more to me than a normal 9-5. I have extensive experience starting horses off the track, breaking babies, and bringing horses consistently to the training/prelim level in eventing. My advanced horse was produced solely by me from a 5 yr old. I worked consistently in a professional environment with a number of upper level trainers (Tamra Smith, Joe Meyer, Clayton Fredericks, Jon Holling) throughout my career and was privy to the incredibly efficient and detailed ways in which they ran their programs as well as managed my own barn full of 6-8 horses any given season, wintering in FL and summering in either my home state of Texas or Pennsylvania. I've competed in the jumper ring through 1.25m in the past and through 3rd level dressage. I'm very confident teaching both students and horses alike.
I was lucky to enjoy a very successful career at the upper levels of Eventing (Advanced). I'm proficient and very comfortable in all aspects of horse care from injections to a high standard of grooming, braiding, clipping, tacking, driving substantial trucks and trailers, wrapping, bathing, treating injuries from superficial to career-threatening. I know how to maintain accurate and detailed records regarding vets and farriers, and overall am comfortable with horses of all ages and experience.
I have extensive experience working with off the track Thoroughbreds as well as young imports. I'm comfortable getting on anything and everything and believe one of my greatest strengths is developing confidence and forward mindset in my young horses. I've been fortunate enough to have substantial experience through the Intermediate/old CCI2* level with success at Advanced as well. I've shown in both 1.25m jumpers and 3rd level dressage.
I have competed extensively in eventing and show jumping and have groomed for several upper level riders (Tamie Smith, Joe Meyer). I'm very comfortable in a competition and professional atmosphere managing several horses whether I'm riding them or someone else is.
