Equine Work Experience
I have been around horses for 12 years. I went to my first summer camp when I was 7. From there, I began regular lessons and eventually leased my first horse at 8. She was a very energetic mare who I learned a lot from. I then owned my first horse at 12, I had him up until I left for college. He was a 17-hand OTTB. I have also worked as a summer camp counselor for many years. I have many years of experience with barn chores and overall farm work.

Type of Ride Work
I have ridden green horses, young horses, and school horses. I have experience with flatwork and jumping. With my first horse being an OTTB, I have had a lot of experience with green horses. Though he wasn't freshly off the track when I bought him, he had very little training. I was able to build my skills working with green horses. My instructor at the time then allowed me to ride/train a big standardbred gelding who came freshly from the racetrack.
