Equine Work Experience
I grew up showing hunters and eventers. In college I played polo for three years and competed in small tournaments. I have started young horses, both English and Wester, and have a lot of experience working with green horses like mustangs and off the track racehorses. I was a camp counselor for two years at a horse camp for middle school aged children teaching beginner and intermediate classes. For four years I worked in sales prep with yearlings grooming and showing for sales. I have also competed in local hunter/jumper shows for many years in my free time up through 2'6.
I am very good at bandaging and wrapping, especially surgical bandages. I am an excellent groom and can trim, pull, and plait. I can handle basic first aid including giving shots. I work well under pressure and am able to think quickly and make decisions. I love talking to people and can manage groups of workers to get a job done.
