Riding Instruction experience: Completed Riding Instructor Certification class at Asbury University. Certified as a riding instructor through CCHI (Christian Camp Horsemanship International). Experience teaching therapeutic riding and traditional riding lessons. Riding classes: At Asbury University, completed three college-level horseback riding classes.

Equine care experience: I own two of my own horses that I care for and ride. Cared for draft horses on Mackinac Island. Care for a variety of horse types at Asbury University Equine Center and LAC. Equine Training experience: Member of Asbury’s Service Mount program where students train a colt or filly to become a police mount. Help train a two-year-old thoroughbred/Clydesdale colt. Worked training younger horses to be used for trail rides and wrangler use during summer of 2021. Driving experience: Spent the summer of 2020 working for Mackinac Island Carriage Tours, the largest continually operated horse and buggy livery in the world. Worked as a carriage tour driver/guide and as a barn hand, cleaning stalls, feeding/washing/brushing/and harnessing draft horses. Therapeutic Riding: In process of pursuing PATH CTRI certification.

I have specialized in equine training and equine assisted mental health.

I have ridden a wide range of horses, from school horses to young green horses. I have experience with starting a horse and extensive experience with natural horsemanship methods.
