Qualifications

Only thing I really did was 4h classes when I was a little girl. I never actually went to study for it, but I can always learn new things!

Duties of Current Occupation

Ordering parts, picking up parts, prepping cars before they get painted.

Equine Work Experience

I use to help our friend William Armstrong. He was a team roper and had a farm from breaking horses to finishing them out. I handled young horses and stallions. I never actually rode his I just was his stable hand. I also worked at Debbie dickeys that owns Twin Oaks, I was also her stable hand and did 4h with her when I was little.

Specialities

I have been cleaning the barns that I board at for board. I have probably done this since I was 6 years old helping my sister and mom. I have been around horses all my life and I would like for it to be my priority now. I can do anything from grooming to exercising the horses. I had other jobs in the past, but being with the horses is where my heart desires to be.

Type of Ride Work

The first horse I worked with was a 2 year old filly. I did ground work with her and got to saddle her up. I just recently put a refresher on a colt I had, and I had barn/buddy sour horse that I had to work with for a while. I also rode horses that were spooky to bolting. I can say my riding ability is advanced. I never rode horses for anyone, I did this just for myself.

Competition Details

I helped my sister with 4h (only one of us could do it, mom wasn’t able to afford both) we showed showmanship and hunt seat and western pleasure. I loved to gallop so I did the gaming. Got my first barrel horse when I was 12 years old, and she knew her stuff!
