I have some college experience at SUNY Morrisville for their 2 year Equine Science program. I made deans list first semester. However complications of Lyme disease forced me to withdraw during my second semester.
Feed horses, groom, administer medicine, yard work, facility upkeep, weeding, minor repirs, grooming, foal handling, assisting with farrier or vet, twitching horses, cleaning, heavy lifting.
I used to work at a Hillcrest stables located in Chittenango NY for 5 years starting in 2019 until 2023 taking care of boarding and riding horses there as well as doing yardwork, tacking up horses for clients as well as holding horses for the farrier. Weed control around the pastures was also a main task of mine as well as taking care of the horses during show days.
I also worked at Bylund Stables located in Cazenovia NY from around 2020 to 2023 taking care of riding horses and horses being trained there when help was needed during show days.
I also have worked at Dragonsmeade, a Morgan horse breeding facility in Winchester Kentucky as a groom as well as a general stable hand.
I have handling experience with geldings, mares, foals as well as some yearlings. I also have 16 years of Huntseat Riding experience and being in show barns.
I also have experience with hay management and bailing, medications for horses and general facility up keep be it cleaning, light repairs or painting. I also specalize in yardwork.
16 years experience english riding with throughbreds, drafts as well as ponies. I have some minor experience with driving a wagon with draft horses.
During my time at SUNY Morrisville I also have several months riding western while I was a student there.
I have shown once at a low level Hunter Jumper event. But other than that no.
