I have recently taken an intro course on saddle fitting through the North American Saddlery School. Just the intro course doesn't give me a qualification yet, but it's something I am pursuing.

Groom at an Arabian/Half Arabian breeding and boarding facility for around 2 years

I have been taking lessons/riding since 2003. As a adolescent lesson student I was one of the ones always hanging around the barn to help my riding instructor and the facility management. As a groom I not only took care of tacking/untacking and show grooming, but also feeding, watering, turn out, lunging, etc. at our home facility.

I assisted turning in/out of boarding horses as well as the mares and foals. I would usually lunge the young training horses for the head trainer, so I have experience with young horses. I did a lot of braiding.

Right now I am living the adult amateur life mainly doing casual flatwork with the hopes of getting into dressage with my green horse. I have done some jumping, saddle seat, dressage, and outriding on trail rides in the past.

I've worked as a competition groom for the Arab/Half-Arab show circuit in various English disciplines, I usually did the braiding as well. As a child I did local shows in saddle seat equitation and pleasure, hunt seat equitation, English pleasure, a couple of h/j rounds.
