As far as licenses and certificates, there is very little available for equine professionals in the united states, and at this time I have no licensing.
I am responsible for all aspects of internal and external marketing for a dental office part time. However, I also source young thoroughbreds off the track, retrain them for eventing, and sell them. I also give lessons.
I have been riding/competing for over 20 years, have lived on and operated a 20 acre horse my entire life, and have never owned less than 7 horses at one time, so I have a lot of valuable real life ownership experience, farm maintenance experience, and competition experience. I have thrown hay and picked icy water in 2 feet of snow, I have foaled horses, I have had home-breds, I have stayed up for colicky horses through the night, I have unloaded 300 hale bales in 98* F heat, I have buried many past horses, I've blown out a tire with a loaded trailer on the side of the highway at 4 AM, I have helped stitch up a wound during a lightning storm, I have been kicked and bitten by many horses, I have dug fence posts holes by hand when the tractor broke down.
I am extremely personable and people pleasing, detail oriented, and very much a self starter. I am a quick learner and always willing to take direction. My specialties that set me apart is my ability to organize any room, my obsessive compulsive attention to detail (especially with clipping and grooming), and my ability to always plan three steps ahead to cut back time. In the saddle, my specialty tends to be hotter headed horses.
I am well experienced with trail riding/hacking, flatting vs. dressage, eventing, hunters/jumpers, beginner rider lessons, and foxhunting.
I have competed up the USEF National Intermediate level and the FEI CCI2-L level in eventing. I have been competing at the FEI level for 3 years on a self trained OTTB that I've had since he was a 3 year old. This is my first upper level horse and we've been learning together as we've gone up the levels. Prior to that, I did hunter/jumpers for 10 years, and I grew up in the United States Pony Club system.
