I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I think I'd be qualified for this job because I'm a very hard worker and a fast learner. I think I have relevant work experience. My family had a log splitting business that I was a part of for 8 years, which really taught me the value of hard work. I would go out with the rest of my siblings and we would lift and split logs for multiple hours several days of the week and we'd it in all kinds of weather conditions, no matter what. I've also had experience with a variety of different animals.

My family always had tons of pets growing up. We've had horses, goats, ducks, tons of cats, dogs, ducks and even a rabbit. My parents always made it our responsibility to take care of all the animals that we had. We had to work and train with them all, clean up after them, make sure that they had enough food and water every day, give them baths when they need it, and play with them. I really love animals and enjoy getting to be around them and take of them. I know I'd love to have a job that revolves around that which is why I was excited to see this!
