I have completed numerous equine courses over the last two years at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. I acquired the basics of farrier science, proper show etiquette, and how to judge at any type of horse show while being a part of the Equine program.

I have been riding for over 15 years with a Hunter/jumper background, with some Western discipline knowledge. I last showed in 2016 at Win-A-Gin in Metamora, Michigan where I placed second in the B-Circuit jumper ring.  I have owned/leased over 5 horses over the years with ages ranging from a weanling to 12-years old.  I focus on building a strong foundation of trust and respect with the horses that I work with and pride myself on being a quiet rider.

I have experience working with foals, weanlings, yearlings, stallions, and broodmares. I currently am working with a 2 year old mare. Her name is Sylvie (I got to name her), and I have been working with her since she was my weanling for my college training class. I have experience leading a team, can handle a high turn out and am able to muck out and keep a tidy yard.

Over the last two years while attending Ellsworth Community College in Iowa, I worked with three young horses and trained them for western pleasure/ riding. I was taught how to properly work with and handle a weanling for one of my training classes and I’m still working with her today. I mainly train for show jumping, however, I am looking to expand my riding in Eventing and Dressage.

I worked with my trainer to help her organize and run barn shows. I competed in B Circuit riding competitions through high school. I have not shown since 2016, looking to get back into the show ring.
