Horses health is my main priority. I am looking for long time solution. I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I went to college for farm management.
Farm management, employee scheduling, sales rep, ordering, parts run, tending to feilds/ livestock. Watering and greenhouse care. Row crop farming, baleing, and matenance.
I've worked around livestock and row crops, or in a farm store, but never strictly with equine. I am willing to learn anything that can be taught. I did have a personal horse that kick through a wind-break and ended up needing emergency surgery and I had to wrap and care for his wound alone with the rehab processes.
I have worked with many animals chickens, goats, hogs, cattle, and horses. I manage all feeding, pasture, fencing, medication, trimming(for goats), grooming, and birthing of all the animals on the farm. I also take care of the land management, buildings, and facilities for the animals.
I had a pony when I was in elementary school, he was a farm pet. 1st horse was a green broke quarter horse dun. We learned western pleasure, trail, and reining together. I help with my sisters cutting horse training in western pleasure, barrels and poles. Now I have a beautiful but spicy paint mare who is helping teach my daughter and son the responsibilities of owning animals.
I have competed in local shows, western pleasure, reining, trail, halter, showmanship, and games
