I have ridden since the age of five in a variety of disciplines, including dressage, western pleasure, and jumping. My early riding career consisted mostly of local lessons until I purchased my first horse, a Percheron filly who I started in harness and under saddle. My training with her eventually progressed into a team of draft horses who I used for weddings, sleigh rides, and events, as well as numerous clientele from varying backgrounds who I worked with on groundwork, starting horses, improving themselves and their horses under saddle, driving, trick training, and more. As time progressed my focus narrowed to mainly dressage, which I now study full time. I now have a FriesianXpaint who I am developing through the levels as I progress with my riding and training. I have moderate showing experience at local shows with my own horses, have hosted clinics, and have performed trick and liberty acts with multiple horses as well. I can also clip, braid, plait, and provide my own farriery.
My expertise lie in the areas of dressage, groundwork, behavioral correction, trick training, and liberty. I have ample experience helping problem horses, exercising young horses and training groundwork, and am a dedicated, developing dressage rider with a feel for detail and finesse. I use trick and liberty training to further the connection between myself and my horses, as well as to help develop feel of the horse when working in hand or under saddle.
My ridden focus in mainly dressage, with a respect and appreciation for other disciplines as well.
